This gallery brings together Yoshitaka Amano's illustrations for Square's Final Fantasy series (later Square Enix). Character designer for the first six episodes of the saga (1987–1994), Amano created the iconic characters that defined Final Fantasy's visual identity: warriors, mages, tormented heroes and fantastical creatures, all rendered in his signature watercolor style blending grace and melancholy.
